Some 15 years ago, I decided to walk away from a career in architecture and instead turn my attention to ‘architectural visualisation’. While a lot has changed since those early years, the excitement of working closely with architects and interior designers has not.
Last year, I was approached by Woven Image to visualise some of their beautifully designed acoustic panels/textiles. It was important that their product integrate seamlessly within a commercial environment. However, to do this, a 3D scene had to be created.
With no documentation available, I asked Woven Image to send through ‘photos’ of some commercial spaces which they felt best complimented their product. These photos were used a guide to recreate a scene in 3D. With a bit of loose interpretation and embellishments, I was able to draw on my experience to create a suitable environment for the Woven Image panels.
For comparison, I have included the completed renders with their associated photo reference.
