In 2013 the Brisbane City Council commissioned a Spring Hill Renewal Strategy Plan, to ensure that Brisbane’s oldest heritage precinct would receive a long awaited upgrade. I’m not entirely sure how much progress has been made since the strategy plan was released, but it was a delight to work with Paul Obed and his team to prepare marketing renders for this 25 story residential tower in Spring Hill. I’m sure it will be the start of many exciting new developments in the area.
The tower will comprise 16 one-bedroom, 84 two-bedroom, and 12 three-bedroom apartments with a podium coverage of 88 per cent of the site. The arcade walkway is a primary feature of the development. Comprising dense landscaping elements to create an outdoor, suburban-like pathway setting, the arcade provides access to the foyer of the upper level residences of the proposed development.
